“ What a GREAT find!! This is a lovely county pub with B&B rooms, some above the pub and the others in the outside / garden area, adjoining the pub. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was lovely. The food at dinner was DELICIOUS, great portions and every course was delicious, we didn’t have breakfast but I am sure it would have been great too!! There’s a big, free onsite car park which is very convenient . If we are ever in this area again, I would not hesitate to book and stay here - I’d like to book a Sunday next time so we can sample their delicious roast dinners! All of the staff were great, very friendly, bubbly & very accommodating - THANK YOU ”
“ Enjoyed a lovely meal here with family to celebrate my birthday. It's a really nicely appointed pub, modernised inside but still full of charm. We sat in the conservatory, as the restaurant was fully booked, and this too soon filled up. Staff were great, really friendly and chatty and service was relaxed but timely. We enjoyed a couple of plates from the starters and nibbles selection on the menu then main course and puddings for us all. The portion sizes were generally just right so we were left with room for dessert. I would say the only slight issue for me was a smaller than average fillet of sea trout. I was only disappointed because it was delicious with a beautiful crispy skin and it was devoured in no time! Would highly recommend a visit here for lunch or dinner but booking might be advisable on busier evenings. ”
“ Outstanding quality of food and lovely location. I have never eaten better fish (fish and chips, although I'm not a chips fan) anywhere and believe me, I've eaten a lot. We also had the beet root and goat cheese salad which was a poem in itself - absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!!! ”
“ We went on a sleepy Tuesday morning for lunch . Let's start at the beginning. We walked in and were warmly greeted by each of the staff members we met. The young lady behind the bar was an attentive host. Quickly sorted out lunch order and drinks. Both came delivered to our outside table quickly. The food was perfectly seasoned and hot. Zero complaints there. It was a freat experience, and one we will be repeating without doubt. The only criticism I had was that if seated on the patio, you can not open a tab, but this is because last year they had too many people run out on their bills, so rightly they have now withdrawn this privilege. To be honest this is a really minor inconvenience and will not stop us returning. Met the owners on our way out and discovered that motorcycle ride outs will be accommodated so I intend to return with some friends for a Sunday lunch...... ”
“ Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my husband and dog. Very accommodating to dogs and love that they do freeze dried treats. Food was delicious and service was good. Would definitely go again ”
